We have an outstanding opportunity to join the PowerNet Technical Team in the exciting and rewarding role of Cable Jointer, based out of our Queenstown Depot. As a crucial member of our Queenstown field team, you will be involved in the construction, installation and maintenance of equipment across the PowerNet managed networks.
About You – Skills and Experience
You will be a highly motivated individual who has a pragmatic, flexible and adaptable approach along with the passion to empower and develop at PowerNet.
We’re looking for someone who has:
•National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 or equivalent
•Registered Cable Jointer with at least 3 years’ experience in the electricity industry
•Current Class 1 Driver's license
•Computer literate and an understanding of the basic Microsoft Office Suite of products.
•Ability to review, develop and implement changes with industry technology.
•Competent to carry out commissioning and maintenance tasks on electricity supply industry systems
•A good level of written and oral communication skills with proven experience in writing reports on faults, maintenance and commissioning of electricity supply industry equipment.
•Relevant high voltage experience
