Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the Technical Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Electricians, Power System Technicians and Apprentices who construct, install, and maintain substation and distribution equipment and cable networks. This requires excellent people leadership, project planning and proven work delivery skills.

This is a full-time position based in Balclutha, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About You – Skills and Experience
You will be a highly motivated individual who has a pragmatic, flexible and adaptable team approach, along with the passion to grow and develop at PowerNet.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a natural leader of people, who understands the benefits of great leadership.
- Holds a National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 or equivalent.
- Has a current EWRB electrical registration and practicing licence.
- Has at least 5 years recent experience in the electrical distribution industry
- Is innovative, and capable of using new technology to improve the way things are done.
- Is competent to hold a PowerNet Network Access criteria (NAC)
- Demonstrates good working relationships with other team members, customers, and contractors.
- Holds a current class 1 drivers licence.
- Has a current working knowledge of the industry’s safety regulations.
