About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Apprentice Distribution Line Mechanic based at our Gore Depot. In this role you will assist with power line construction and maintenance under the supervision of our fully qualified and experienced Line Mechanics while studying towards a nationally recognised trade qualification.
What you will need to be successful:
We are looking for someone who:
- has an interest in the electricity industry
- is eager to learn
- holds a New Zealand Drivers licence (minimum restricted)
- has completed NCEA Level 2 or equivalent
- is computer savvy with strong numeracy and literacy skills
- physically fit and capable of working outdoors
- a cooperative team player
New Zealand candidates who have trained and worked in a different trade may be considered as a skilled apprentice – if you are looking to change careers this could be the opportunity you have been looking for!
