As a Supply Electrician you will be an integral part of our Invercargill technical team who construct, install and maintain our equipment across PowerNet’s managed networks. The work is varied and interesting, with opportunities for personal and industry growth.
You will undertake planned maintenance, installations, inspections and attend faults to repair and restore electricity supply to our customers. And what better place to live and work with the vibrant community and opportunities that Invercargill offers!
About You – Skills and Experience
You will be a highly motivated individual who has a pragmatic, flexible and adaptable team approach, along with the passion to grow and develop at PowerNet.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 or equivalent
- Registered Electrician with at least 3 years’ experience in the electricity industry, preferably with high voltage capability.
- Current Class 1 Drivers licence
- Computer literate and an understanding of the basic Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Ability to review, develop and implement changes with industry technology.
- Competent to carry out commissioning and maintenance tasks on electricity supply industry systems
- A good level of written and oral communication skills with proven experience in writing reports on faults, maintenance and commissioning of electricity supply industry equipment.
