Senior Property Specialist

Tauranga | Permanent full-time role

We are seeking a motivated individual that has excellent project management and negotiating skills. The role will provide the opportunity to work on high level projects in a dynamic workplace, seeing them through from start to finish. You’ll have autonomy in the role but will be part of a team that values peer support. This role is less about the report writing and more about the doing. 

About the role

The purpose of this specialist role is to acquire & manage property rights, oversee regulatory consenting and manage relationships with our diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Technical: Be a trusted advisor helping Powerco navigate negotiation and management of property rights acquisitions
  • Project management: Apply your project management expertise to meet project KPI’s
  • Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, Councils, consultants, tāngata whenua and other external interfaces

Skills & Experience

It’s not the be-all and end-all, but we’d be excited if you have:

  • A good understanding and experience in negotiating property related agreements including purchases, easements and licences
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or gas distribution networks, preferably 1-2 years or like experience in other land based infrastructural networks
  • A tertiary qualification in valuation or property is desirable
