As a Customer Works Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing customer-initiated projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Powerco’s standards, statutory requirements, and customer expectations. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in project management within the electricity distribution industry. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and contractors. If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality projects, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Tertiary electrical qualification or 5-10 years of experience with electrical distribution networks, including maintenance, operation, construction, and design.
- Contract management skills with an understanding of commercial contracts and their practical application.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Attention to detail and a professional attitude.
You will have:
- In depth knowledge of electricity industry legislative requirements.
- Excellent communication, report writing and documentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with external customers and contractors.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated and effective negotiation and influencing ability.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and MS Project.
- Effective time management skills.
