Transmission Analyst

New Plymouth

Here at Powerco, we're busy keeping the lights on and gas flowing to more than 430,000 homes, businesses and organisations across the North Island. If you're an experienced engineer, with a particular flare for establishing and maintaining great relationships, it's time to join the fast-paced, exciting company that powers NZ's largest electricity distribution network.

Right now, we're after a Transmission Analyst to join our Chief Engineers team. In this role you will use your skills to facilitate Powerco’s technical and operational relationship with Transpower (Grid Owner) and Transpower (System Operator). This will include ensuring that there is efficient transfer of information between Powerco and Transpower relating to customer investment in grid assets, project work at the grid interface, and bilateral requests for information or advice; administering the contractual agreements between Powerco and Transpower relating to grid projects; maintaining oversight of the Electricity Industry Participation Code and analysing impacts of Code changes.

Based in New Plymouth, this is an opportunity to play an important role with a large and successful company – sound good?

Let's talk about you. Your experience in the electricity industry, coupled with power systems and network planning experience, will put you in good stead to hit the ground running with Powerco. You'll have a BE or tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or related trade.

Life is good here at Powerco. You'll join a fun, tight-knit group of dedicated, passionate people and play a key leadership role in a company that's a major contributor to the community. In addition to competitive salary offerings, generous leave allocations and health and wellness packages, you’ll also get the satisfaction of playing an important part in helping us deliver an essential service to our communities.

If you're after an exciting role within the New Zealand electrical industry, get in touch, and let's talk about how you can join us at Powerco
