Department Coordinator – Business Transformation

📍 New Plymouth | Fixed Term – 12 Months | Part-Time (up to 0.8 FTE)

We’re looking for a friendly, efficient, and proactive Department Coordinator to join our Business Transformation (BT) team in our Junction Street office. This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity (12 months) where you’ll be our front-facing anchor – present, reliable, and ready to help Monday to Friday.

In this role, you’ll support the smooth running of the BT team and provide admin support to the Executive Assistant. You’ll take real ownership of your work – from event coordination and travel bookings to culture-building moments like Tim Tam Fridays and the birthday lolly jar (yes, really – it’s a thing).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the day-to-day coordination of the BT department – from inboxes to ordering stationery to setting up events
  • Booking venues, arranging catering, and being the friendly face at our team functions and workshops
  • Managing travel bookings, taxi chit allocations, and reconciling reports in a timely and tidy fashion
  • Processing purchase orders and invoices in SAP, keeping cost centres accurate and budgets in check
  • Championing the little things that make a big difference – birthday celebrations, new starter welcomes, and small gestures that reflect our Better Together values

What you’ll bring:

  • At least three years’ experience in administration or coordination roles
  • Superpowers in Microsoft Suite and SAP
  • A natural ability to juggle tasks, manage changing priorities, and communicate clearly
  • A kind, proactive approach with a high level of professionalism and accountability
  • Someone who doesn’t wait for work to land – you see what needs doing and get it done
