Future Networks Engineering Summer Intern

New Plymouth or Tauranga

Are you a pro-active, motivated and enthusiastic student looking for work these summer holidays?

We are specifically looking for a students to assist the Future Networks Engineering team with various projects which could include:

  • Developing code and parity checking models
  • Building reports/dashboards to visualise information in the data lake
  • Data Science work including supporting demand forecasting and customer segmentation work, working with smart meter data
  • Supporting engineers in creating and valuing scopes for network automation, as well as automating investment creation/value modelling

The student we are looking for will:

  • Ideally be studying towards a Bachelor of Engineering, Software/Programming, Computer Science, Statistics or Data Science in 2nd or 3rd year
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Have programming/scripting skills (such as Python, SQL)
  • Have excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Possess effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be self-motivated regardless of the task
  • Enjoy working as part of a team but able to work autonomously
