About the Role:
As a Solutions Engineer (Telecommunications), you’ll be hands-on with critical communication systems, learning from experienced engineers while making a real impact. You’ll support the smooth operation of our telecommunications network and get involved in exciting projects that drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Projects: Help senior engineers design, plan, and implement communication projects.
- Technical Support: Set up new communication sites and troubleshoot network issues.
- Hands-On Maintenance: Update firmware, maintain equipment, and keep our systems running smoothly.
- Network Involvement: Work with systems like:
- Microwave point-to-point radio
- SCADA Telemetry VHF/UHF radio
- DMR Tier 3 radio
- Cellular radio
- Juniper MPLS “PTN” network
- Cisco substation LAN networks
- DC power supply systems
- General electronic systems
- Learn and Grow: Build your skills through hands-on work, certifications, and field experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- A curious, motivated mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to follow instruction, and then as understanding increases, to work more independently. Basic technical skills and a knack for problem-solving.
- Great communication skills—you’ll be working with both technical and non-technical people.
- Qualifications or certifications like CCNA or JCNA (preferred but not essential).
- An interest in ICT networking (like Cisco and Juniper systems).
- A team player who’s keen to get stuck in and make a difference.
