Residential Construction Manager

About the role

This role suits an experienced Construction Manager who enjoys accountability, people leadership and consistent delivery. You will take ownership of a defined region, for example South or West, and lead a small team of Construction Supervisors responsible for live residential builds across that area.

Reporting to the Regional Building Manager, you will balance on site presence with strong planning, coaching and commercial oversight. Your focus is simple and demanding: safe sites, quality homes, predictable programs and engaged supervisors.

What you will be doing

• Lead, coach and performance manage a team of Construction Supervisors within your region
• Own construction outcomes across your area, including build time, quality, safety and cost
• Work closely with the Regional Building Manager to align capacity, forecasts and priorities
• Drive consistent construction standards and compliance across all sites
• Support supervisors with complex builds, trade issues and customer escalations
• Monitor programs and workloads, stepping in early to remove blockers
• Build strong working relationships with trades, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Champion safety, site presentation and a disciplined approach to risk management

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Supervisor within residential construction
• Strong people leadership capability with a track record of developing supervisors
• Sound understanding of volume or multi site residential builds
• Commercially minded with the ability to balance quality, time and cost
• Confident communicator who can challenge, support and influence at all levels
• Highly organised, decisive and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Solid knowledge of WHS obligations and site compliance
