- Strategic leadership role, supported by a dedicated marketing team and significant capital expenditure
- Sell a product that you are proud of and make a difference in people’s lives
- Accountable for a substantial budget, overseeing 50+ display homes as our retail environment / CX centres
We are looking to welcome a new Head of Sales to lead our Queensland Sales team.
This person is a passionate sales leader with experience in managing multi-site or regional teams. They may have gone through the new home build process themselves and understand the importance of a simple, exciting and customer-focused journey. They are energised at the thought of impacting meaningful and long-lasting relationships with our customers.
About us:
Plantation Homes forms part of the Henley Properties Group, established in 1989 with a vision to make home ownership more affordable for Australian families. Today, we’re consistently ranked as one of the largest home builders in Australia – building over 2000 homes each year. With a focus on transparency, affordability, and customer care, we’re a volume builder dedicated to creating better, happier and healthier environments for families across Queensland.
We’ve got a goal to deliver 10,000+ homes between 2025 - 2030 by being the most trusted builder of homes and communities in Australia, and our Head of Sales will have a key role in achieving it.
The position:
As Head of Sales, you will lead a growing, high-performing team, drive sales strategy, team development and customer experience. From the first step into our display homes to handing over to our dedicated customer service team, you’ll ensure a seamless, customer focused journey.
This is an opportunity to influence business growth, identify market opportunities, and ensure we remain the builder of choice for Queensland families.
Your role will focus on:
- Developing and executing sales strategies aligned with business goals
- Driving business growth through ensuring the right product is delivered to market in collaboration with the national design and marketing teams
- Managing overheads and operating costs within the division
- Using data to inform decision making and strategy
- Monitoring and analysing market trends, pricing strategies and competitor activity
- Driving a high-performance culture within the Sales team to achieve and exceed targets
- Collaborating with our operational and functional teams to evolve the customer experience
- Building and maintaining industry networks and strategic partner relationships
About You:
You’re an experienced leader with demonstrated experience managing multi-site or regional teams. You may come with industry experience or have had exposure to residential construction through your own building experience, whilst desired, this is not a pre-requisite for success in this role.
You have a customer-first mindset, backed by strong commercial acumen. You excel in strategy execution, business growth and are well-versed using data to drive your decision making.
You possess strong people leadership skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire a high-performance team. Your own appetite for personal growth and development is reflected in the way you coach and lead your team.
Join Our Team:
- Flat organisational structure and highly collaborative team; report to the General Manager and interact regularly with the Directors, CEO and leadership team
- Backed by our $8 billion dollar parent company, Sumitomo Forestry Group
- Opportunity to give back through involvement in local and national philanthropic projects, giving over $35m to-date to children’s charities
- Significant financial support for ongoing professional development
