As a Sales Estimator, you will be working in a fast-paced and technical role for new home construction prior to site start. You will be based in our office at Springwood.

About the Role

In this role, you will accurately prepare cost estimates for our customers' homes and their selected inclusions, building variations, site costs and any other cost estimates that are required to prepare the accurate and timely documentation needed to guide the customer journey.

This role works within the larger Estimating team and will form key relationships with internal stakeholders within the business.

Key responsibilities in include 

  • Accurately prepare cost estimates (tenders) for the set target number of jobs.
  • Support a team by meeting set targets around; tenders, non-standard variations, building variations, post-contract variations and re-tenders.
  • Calculate fixed site costs
  • Calculate NSV pricing as required
  • Review documentation to ensure tenders and variations are prepared accurately and ensure item descriptions are clearly worded for customers
  •  Investigate supplier, trader and construction queries, investigate and allocate ETOs
  • Adhere to Customer Service Standards
  • Work with relevant departments as required

About You

With a Certificate IV in Building and Construction or a trade background, you can confidently read plans and understand the building process.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers, you have a professional approach, even under pressure and you are a strong team player. Ideally, you have sound knowledge of building techniques and construction, estimating & drafting terminology along with an understanding of legislative requirements in relation to the residential construction industry.
