The Opportunity: 

As a Bridge Asset Inspector you are responsible for undertaking Bridge, culvert and open space asset condition inspections on behalf of varied clients such as Councils, contractors and state road authorities. The role involves a variety of scope including project management, contractor management, site inspections (potential for day shift, night shift and working away from home, destructive testing, non-destructive testing, and inspection reporting.).

What you bring: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience inspecting assets or working on construction sites related to bridges or other transport infrastructure
  • Qualified as an civil/structural engineer, engineering technician, or with a trade background
  • Ability to clearly communicate
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience on VicRoads, TMR or RMS/TfNSW Road or Bridge asset management projects is desirable but not essential
  • Drivers Licence

Other desirable, but not essential attributes are:

  • Experience conducting Level 1, 2 and 3 condition assessments
  • Experience on VicRoads, TMR or RMS/TfNSW Road projects
  • ARRB Level 1/2 Inspection Accreditation or similar
  • Worksite Induction Card (White Card)
  • EWP plant operator ticket
  • RIW certification
  • First Aid certificate
  • Confined Space certification
  • Track Force certified
  • Traffic management
