The Opportunity:
- This role can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Devonport or Launceston.
- Build strong relationships with clients as well as environmental and water related disciplines to deliver projects;
- Technical stewardship of the pitt&sherry Maritime Structures Team;
- Technical review of deliverables to ensure output of a technically high standard;
- Mentoring and managing a small team of junior team members;
- Management, either technical management or project management as a technical lead of a variety of engineering projects across the country;
- Delivering coastal infrastructure projects including feasibility studies, condition assessments, design of coastal structures;
- Building strong relationships with clients to expand our presence in the Maritime sector.
- Complete site visits as required.
What you bring:
- An experienced engineer with extensive technical experience in maritime structures and ports;
- An ability to draw on strong engineering foundations to resolve technical challenges;
- A desire to provide technical leadership to the Maritime and Coastal team.
- Strong technical and numerical modelling skills to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively, delivery cost effective, high performance solutions for our clients;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate discipline specific engineering concepts into language that can be understood by clients and colleagues;
- Experience with Strand7 and Spacegass or equivalent packages;
- Experience with SwanOne, SWAN – GUI, DELFT3D, IH2VOF, XBEACH, or equivalent packages will be viewed favourably, however such experience is not mandatory.
