The opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant who will be primarily responsible for the accounts receivable function, as well as supporting accounts payable, payroll & management accounting team as required.

Your role will include the following:

  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment
  • Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or billing errors
  • Receipt and reconcile accounts receivable ledger 
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare and submit reports on accounts receivable status to management.
  • Accounts payable invoice entry and credit card transaction processing
  • Payroll new starter set-up & processing
  • Month-end reporting assistance and reconciliations
  • Year-end audit support as required

What you bring:

Ideally previous experience in an accounts receivable role with a focus on debtor management and collections, as well as performing a wide range of finance activities including:

  • 2 + years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable management/collections
  • Creditors, banking and transactional control processes
  • Experience in accounts payable/payroll highly regarded
  • Supporting the businesses Internal control processes with associated checks 
  • Administrative and accounts support using a variety of programs and systems
  • Data entry, filing and general administrative tasks
  • Assist in documenting and communicating operational policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification/graduation in Accounting related discipline
