The Opportunity: 

  • With a strong secured pipeline and several major projects on the horizon, we’re looking to enhance our team with an experienced Geotechnical Engineer who can bring innovative design expertise and strengthen our national delivery capability
  • Be a key player in delivering critical geotechnical design and review work that supports high-impact projects across the country. 
  • Take ownership of small projects or significant portions of larger more complex projects 
  • Collaborate to create detailed reports, proposals, and specifications that exceed client expectations. 
  • Leverage your deep knowledge of engineering principles to devise creative solutions for complex geotechnical challenges. 
  • Lead and manage geotechnical site investigations, from concept to execution, including logging data in OpenGround and delivering insightful reports. 
  • Design and analyze geotechnical solutions for both temporary and permanent works, covering a broad range of applications such as foundations, retaining structures, landslides, embankments, and cuts. 
  • Prepare comprehensive geotechnical interpretive reports, technical specifications, and drawings. 
  • This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney

What you bring: 

  • Over 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with a track record of delivering successful projects. 
  • A keen ability to understand client needs and translate them into effective project outcomes. 
  • Expertise in scoping and managing site investigations, as well as producing accurate and actionable reports. 
  • Strong analytical skills in developing ground models and determining geotechnical design parameters for both soil and rock. 
  • Hands-on project experience with State Road Authority or Rail Authority projects, including design and/or proof engineering for earth retention systems, soil nail slopes, hardstands, and construction impact assessments. 
  • Proficiency in Bentley OpenGround, Seequent Leapfrog and PLAXIS 2D highly desirable.
