Are you an organized and friendly professional looking for a dynamic role in a well-established public practice accounting firm? We are seeking a Receptionist / Admin Officer to be the first point of contact for our clients and provide essential administrative support to the accounting team.

You will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of THE office. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a professional environment.

Here’s what you can expect to be doing:
• Front desk duties - meet and greet, answering phone, taking messages
• Processing mail and correspondence
• Assisting clients with general ATO enquiries
• Manage and update the ATO portal, supporting accountants with tax matters.
• Using Outlook to make appointments and manage calendar
• Adding new clients to the portal and HandiSoft software
• Liaising with ATO
• Assisting with general bookkeeping duties including creating invoices, receipts, banking, reporting and reconciliations
• Liaising with other offices
• Proving general support to accountants (filing, scanning and prefilling tax returns)

• Previous experience working in a support role within a public practice accounting environment
• Confident with MS Office – especially Word, Excel and Outlook
• Driven, investigative, curious, unflappable and Great at multitasking
• One of these people who thrives on a challenge, loves being busy and can think on your feet?
• A great communicator, problem solver and organizer
The role will be ideally based between our clients two offices located at Sutherland (3 days per week) and Picton (2 days per week). This is a well-established firm, successful and growing practice.
A competitive salary is on offer to secure the right long-term candidate (Salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 based upon experience).
