PHE is thrilled to offer an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at our newly renovated office in Fortitude Valley. With over 50 years of experience, PHE is a leading provider of electrical and instrumentation operations support services across various industries, including mining, hydropower generation, remote gas power generation plants, food and beverage, pulp and paper manufacturing, and timber processing.

Position Overview:

As a part-time or full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our recruitment process. Demonstrating impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time management skills, you will work both independently and collaboratively within our team to support our recruitment efforts. This is a permanent part-time position working 3-5 days per week.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment processes for various roles within the business.
  • Ensuring compliance and conducting reference checks.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with department heads and Site Managers.
  • Overseeing contract issuance and onboarding processes for candidates.
  • Monitoring and optimising the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for accuracy.
  • Updating and maintaining employee files.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, with a strong background in blue-collar roles, particularly in electrical, mining, or construction industries.
  • Proficiency in the full life-cycle recruitment process.
  • Experience using LiveHire or similar ATS would be preferable.
  • Comprehensive and analytical thinking regarding the company's recruitment strategy.
  • Proficiency in various sourcing strategies and the ability to build a talented candidate pool.
  • Familiarity with employment contract legislation is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal communication and influencing skills.
  • Effective collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and project management abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree or qualification in Business, Human Resources, or Psychology.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check.
