PHE currently has an opportunity for a Commissioning Manager with Commissioning and Instrumentation experience in above ground and underground mining environments to join our team.

PHE is a leading service provider in the Construction Industry with over 50 years of experience, specialises in electrical and instrumentation operations across Australia. We are actively involved in major projects nationwide, supporting industries such as hydro power generation, remote gas power plants, pulp and paper manufacturing, timber processing, and mining.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a FIFO role located across multiple states

As the Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for 

  • Inspiring safety and the safest work practices amongst the team.
  • Plan and manage commissioning activities against schedule and target cost estimates
  • Understanding the project scope and implementation of change management practices 
  • Updating schedule progress against the earned value management system 
  • Informing key stakeholders on safety matters and project concerns 
  • Improving project efficiencies and performances.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports for key stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience as a Commissioning Manager, Superintendent or similar 
  • Underground Mining and Heavy Industrial construction experience is essential for this role
  • Understanding of Health & Safety, Training and Employee Relations
  • Ability to prioritise and schedule activities to optimise time and resource utilisation
  • Able to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner
  • Previous experience in crushing and materials handling construction will be desirable 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Trade Certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech
  • Diploma or similar in Instrumentation 
  • Cert 3 Project Management Practices 
  • Electrical License 
  • Current CPR/LVR (within the last 9 months)
  • Current Unrestricted C Class Driver’s License
  • White / Blue Construction Card
