In this role you will support the execution of the Perth Mint’s sustainability strategy.
The role will work across all business units to facilitate the implementation of key initiatives and to embed a sustainability mindset.
Your role as an Advisor Social Impact will involve:
- Support the implementation of the sustainability strategy and broader strategic objectives, including community relationships, modern slavery and human rights, change management and embedding sustainability culture and awareness
- Develop and support the implementation of the social pillar as part of our sustainability strategy and framework
- Provide strategic and technical advice to the business in the areas of responsible sourcing and human rights, stakeholder engagement, community relations, diversity and inclusion, Aboriginal cultural heritage and relevant social factors
- Develop appropriate social performance policies, systems, strategies, programs, and training to integrate social performance considerations into business decision making
- Coordinate the Sustainability & Environment Employee Resource Group, modern slavery working group and any other relevant forums to support the implementation of initiatives under the social pillar of the sustainability framework
- Develop, maintain and support the implementation of the Sustainability stakeholder communication and engagement plan, including the maintenance of the internal and external Sustainability website
Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in social performance, social planning or impact, community development, communications, social science or relevant discipline
- 3-5 years in Sustainability and/or social performance position
- Strong track record in delivering social actions and outcomes
- Demonstrated experience with sustainability reporting standards i.e. SDGs, GRI
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage project timelines and contribute to continual and improved productivity, efficiencies, and improvements
