Our team are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Manager – Cultural Heritage

 

What you'll do:

In this role, you will lead and manage engagement with Traditional Owners and other stakeholders to implement Perth Airport’s Master Plan and Major Development Plans. You will secure necessary cultural heritage approvals and ensure compliance activities for the development of the Airport Estate.

Your responsibilities include overseeing cultural heritage management, legislative compliance, and stakeholder engagement. You will also manage cultural heritage inputs for approvals documentation, coordinate specialist studies, and provide technical advice.

Additionally, you will lead the development and implementation of cultural heritage frameworks and plans, and support environmental values management. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Traditional Owners and other stakeholders is crucial. You will also mentor and develop team members, ensuring adherence to quality and project timeframe

 

About You:

·        Hold tertiary qualifications in Science or Arts, majoring in Anthropology/Archaeology, or possess an equivalent qualification.

·        Have proven experience in a similar role within a complex stakeholder environment.

·        Demonstrate a strong background in Aboriginal stakeholder engagement, with a focus on engaging with Noongar people being highly desirable.

·        Possess in-depth knowledge and management experience of relevant federal and state heritage legislation, including obtaining Aboriginal heritage approvals.

·        Exhibit excellent analytical and writing skills.

·        Show a collaborative attitude, able to develop trust and meaningful relationships with peers and stakeholders.

·        Display the ability to prioritise and work under time constraints, meeting project timeframes and quality expectations.
