Perth Airport is Australia’s Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians.

Perth Airport is investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure so we can support our airline partners to grow, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience.

Over the coming decade we will expand T1 International, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.

The Perth Airport estate is spread over 2100 hectares and has developed a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.

We service a truly diverse community and play an important role in strengthening cultural, family and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.

As an Integration Engineer at Perth Airport you will be responsible for the growth and function of our new Azure-based Data and Integration Platform. In anticipation of the start of building our New Terminal we are looking for an engaged data and integration expert to step into a new team that will provide a foundational service for Perth Airport’s future technology plans.

You will architect, build and support the seamless connections between platforms and internal applications which our business and New Terminal will need. Your work will ensure smooth, secure, and reliable data flows that enhance overall business efficiency.

About the role

  • You will design, build, and maintain data integration solutions that connect the Airport’s diverse applications and platforms. Your work will ensure scalability, security, and reliability through efficient API management, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Stay up to date with modern data platform thinking and identify and implement enhancements to integration workflows.
  • Act as a technical leader in the business and recommend tools and best practices to optimise system performance and efficiency.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain integration systems, follow incident management and change processes, and collaborate with service teams to resolve issues and improve system resilience.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally suited to an individual with 4+ years of experience managing data and integration platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, Python, and SQL, along with experience in data formats (JSON, XML, YAML) and API integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure integration services such as Azure API Management, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and the components of the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of authentication and security frameworks, including Microsoft Entra ID, Role-Based Access Control, and data encryption standards.
  • Experience with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and optimise integrations efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and maintain constructive working relationships.
