Senior Advisor - Environment Operations

Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Advisor – Environment Operations

What you'll do:

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring Perth Airport's environmental compliance. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing environmental compliance activities associated with operational activities, leading the development and implementation of the Environmental Management System, and providing high-level technical advice.

You'll oversee environmental monitoring programs, engage with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Additionally, you'll lead the tenant audit program, manage environmental incidents, and support project and operational teams.

Your role will also involve mentoring team members, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement in environmental performance. This position requires a proactive approach to risk management and business continuity, ensuring that Perth Airport remains a leader in environmental governance and stewardship

About You:

·        You hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

·        You possess a solid understanding of the current legislative environment relevant to this role.

·        You have demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental Management Systems.

·        You are well-versed in environmental and heritage compliance and management during development and operations.

·        You are proficient in using GIS and environmental databases, ideally Envirosys.

·        You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong negotiation abilities.

·        Experience with the management and remediation of contaminated sites is highly desirable.
