We are currently looking for a Safety Business Partner to work on upcoming projects.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the Senior Safety Business Partner and supported by the collaborative WHS team, you will be tasked with providing advice and support to the Perth Airport Projects & Development team with respect to all WHS related matters including the delivery of safety improvement initiatives and WHS policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for ensuring Perth Airport and its Contractors comply with all regulatory requirements and company standards in respect of its WHS obligations. You will be required to initiate and lead where appropriate the investigation of significant WHS incidents. You will support the wider business by ensuring effective reporting and through championing the implementation of WHS initiatives to mitigate WHS risks from materialising.
You will also uphold responsibility for the integration of Perth Airport WHS requirements into contractor management processes to ensure all Perth Airport’s contractors adequately manage their health and safety risks and obligations. Promotion of a strong and effective Safety Culture is at the heart of everything we do.
About you:
Ideally, the suitable candidate will hold the relevant tertiary qualification related to WHS, with experience within WHS as wells as in large construction projects in a complex operating environment. Practical expertise in reviewing and understanding risk assessments and audit processes, as well as ICAM/Taproot qualifications, along with a sound understanding of WSH legislation.
The suitable candidate is a competent and effective communicator, capable to lead with the courage and perseverance, employing your discretion and convictions to positively promote the highest possible WHS practices and principles. This role requires someone who can work well under pressure with competing demands, and you earn trust and build creditability quickly.
