Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Environment Advisor – Operations and Planning

What you'll do:

You are responsible for the implementation of the Environmental Management System, in addition to providing general environmental advice and support for Perth Airport operations and projects. You will coordinate site and tenant audits and ensure all actions are closed out as well, as maintaining and improving business-wide standards for environmental management documentation.

You'll be practically engaging and influencing employee and contractor teams working on site in relation to environmental risks, hazards and controls as well as overseeing environmental surveys, monitoring, research and studies to support environmental operations.

You will verify compliance with Perth Airport's legal and environmental obligations and maintain the integrity of monitoring data necessary to demonstrate environmental performance and meet corporate reporting requirements.

About you:

We require a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or equivalent, and an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation relevant to the role. We need you to have experience in developing and maintaining an Environmental Management System along with experience in using GIS and environmental databases (ideally Envirosys), along with audits and inspections.

You are able to work as part of a team and autonomously and adapt flexibility to shifting priorities. You think creatively to solve problems, and have a high level written and verbal communication. You are a strong communicator and thrive on building strong and sustained relationships. We also expect you to be detailed orientated and enjoy data driven research.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the Environment field, with prior operations & planning business units' exposure, along with an understanding of working with contaminated sites. This role will require a high-level strategic communication with all levels of employees both internally and externally to the business.
