Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Capital Accountant for a Fixed Term Contract of 12 Months.

What you'll do:

This is a varied and interesting role with multiple stakeholders across the business. As the Capital Accountant you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis for the Perth Airport Capital program.

Reporting to the Manager Business Planning & Analysis this role will be key to providing monthly capital reporting as well as regular reporting to external stakeholders. In addition, you will facilitate the annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes. The role is also involved in the capital approval process and you will be required to assist in the review of all requests for funding.

A critical aspect of this role will be to maintain accurate asset and capital transactions. This will include understanding the appropriate tax and accounting options as well as providing information for statutory and regulatory accounts.

About you:

You'll be CA, CPA, or CIMA qualified (or working towards certification) with at least 2 years’ experience in a Financial Reporting role.

This role requires you to have excellent communication skills and you must be confident in dealing with multiple stakeholders. In addition, you will have a high attention to detail along with highly developed time management skills.

A good understanding of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerBi, and experience using financial accounting systems for reporting will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the Finance field, with prior Capital Accounting experience. This role will require a high level communication with all levels of employees both internally and externally to the business.
