We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Civil Engineer to join our Structures team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and contribute to real-world projects.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for a 3rd or 4th-year student, committed to working a minimum of two consecutive days per week during the university term and available for increased hours during breaks. This role involves both office-based and site-based responsibilities, providing valuable exposure to real-world engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain drawing folders and ensuring document registers are up to date.
- Draft and organise RFIs (Request for Information) for Project Manager review.
- Assist in invoice signoffs, track day costs, and input timesheets.
- Break down drawings for project scopes, request quotes, and track supplier responses.
- Monitor project progress and update stakeholders.
- Assist with inspections, maintain ITPs (Inspection and test plans) and draft traffic permits.
- Ensure SWMS, risk assessments, and permits are current.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Availability for at least two consecutive days per week during the academic term and additional availability over the university breaks.
- A valid White Card (Construction Induction).
- Confined Space training (preferred but not essential).
