Electrical Commissioning Manager

Pensar Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead and oversee the commissioning activities for our large-scale electrical projects. This critical role ensures that all electrical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage detailed commissioning plans and schedules in line with project milestones, ensuring coordination between project management, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Execution of Commissioning: Oversee commissioning activities including system energisation, performance testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a commissioning team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Provide training, guidance, and ensure competency within the team.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities and provide key reports, such as ITRs, ITPs, and O&M manuals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for commissioning-related issues, effectively communicating progress and solutions with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Safety Management: Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety standards, including SWMS and environmental compliance.
  • System Handover: Oversee the transition of systems from construction to operations, including handover documentation and personnel training.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify that systems meet quality standards before final acceptance.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Address and resolve technical issues during commissioning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical Licence
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commissioning and project management
  • Previous experience on large-scale electrical projects such as pumping stations, substations, or industrial facilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of commissioning standards and Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in commissioning management software and tools.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.

  • Analytical and technical expertise in commissioning.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and adaptable in dynamic project conditions.
