Mō te tūnga | About the role:  

You will join a team that is central to the successful running of New Zealand Parliament facilities and precinct operations. This role is focused on the administration that goes along with the day-to-day running of our Facilities and Asset Management team, whose core purpose is to maintains protect and preserve the physical integrity and longevity of the parliamentary precinct for the enjoyment of the occupants and visitors, the principal client being the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries and maintenance requests via our email mailbox, ensuring timely response to enquiries coming into the shared mailbox. 
  • Manage contractor access and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Provide administrative support, including logging requests and processing invoices.

Tō kete | What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience in managing multiple mailboxes, ensuring timely replies and escalation when needed. 
  • Strong customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Can-do attitude, contributing to fostering a positive working environment.

This is a fast paced, varied position and is a fantastic opportunity to work closely in a passionate team. The appointing salary range for this role is $69,248 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
