Mō te tūnga | About the role:

As the Senior Private Secretary for Chlöe Swarbrick MP you will provide efficient, professional, and well-informed administration support to the Co-Leader of the Green Party, ensuring responsibilities are managed proactively, considering the political landscape. You’ll provide high-quality advice and strategic diary management, ensuring that the co-leader's engagements align with political priorities and objectives.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience providing high quality administrative support and advice to senior leaders. You’ll have the ability to think proactively, multitask, prioritise workflows and meet deadlines. Your strong interpersonal and influencing skills along with initiative, flexibility and the ability to be proactive will be evident. You’ll be able to effectively navigate complex political environments and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

A strong understanding of Green Party principles and their relationship to one another, and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te ao Māori will be an advantage. A working knowledge of Parliamentary and Government policy processes is ideal.

The indicative salary range for the role is $85,000 - $90,000, and appointments will be based on skills and experience.

All employees who work for Political Party Offices are employed on an 'events based' agreement, with your employment linked to the party co-leaders. This role is based in Wellington, for 40 hours a week, with some flexibility required.
