The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Program Facilitator to support and guide clients through their therapeutic journey. This role is essential in maintaining a stable, structured, and supportive environment for clients, ensuring they engage fully in their program and receive appropriate support when in distress.
This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent interpersonal and de-escalation skills, who can facilitate psychoeducation sessions, client management, and mindfulness-based interventions.
The role involves working a flexible schedule, which may include weekdays, nights, and weekends, to ensure continuous support for our clients. Successful candidates will need to be available to work evening and night shifts.
The successful candidate will be required to hold the following qualifications and/or certifications:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or be willing to obtain)
- Police Check
- Availability to complete required on-the-job certification training (covered by the company)
The Day-to-Day
As a Program Facilitator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting clients in their therapeutic process and ensuring they complete all aspects of their program
- Facilitating psychoeducation groups and delivering program modules
- Providing grounding and mindfulness-based tools to support clients in distress
- Accompanying clients on outings and excursions
- Maintaining accurate client records and assessments
- Managing client support needs
- May include night shift duties, including documentation, filing, preparation of group materials, and general housekeeping
