About the role


Play a key role in building the digital railroad for Australia’s leading rail freight provider. Make your mark by leading the implementation of the Integration strategy as the business continues the technology modernisation journey.

The Integration Principal will manage Pacific National’s Data Integration Platform providing integration services for key business applications, processes and functions including Rail Planning and Operations, HR, Finance, Safety, Asset Management, IOT, Telemetry and Data Hub. A key component of the role is to continue the development and delivery of the Integration Strategy, delivering a modern data framework and architecture to ensure stability, availability, performance, security and to support all future state integration patterns.

The Integration Principal provides technical consulting services to our IT and business customer/clients; ensuring integration design aligns to best practice and aligns to our data integration strategic direction. The role will be involved in all aspects of solution delivery from requirements analysis, design, testing through to the support of full production deployment & ongoing BAU support.

Leading a small and dedicated technical team reporting into the Data & Analytics Manager, the Integration Principal will coach and mentor other integration team members, ensuring the management of the development pipeline and managing the incumbent Support Partners to ensure the platforms performance aligns to the established support SLA’s.

About you

To make your mark in this progressive role, you will be a strong communicator and people leader and have relevant experience in the integration space with exposure to the MS Azure Cloud Platform and Azure Integration Services or similar (MuleSoft, Dell Bhoomi, Tibco etc). You will also have the following skills, knowledge, experience and attributes:

· Extensive experience in designing, developing, and executing integration solutions using Azure services

· Solid understanding of integration design principles, integration patterns, and messaging systems

· Highly developed skills and knowledge with API design & development using development languages, Java /JavaScript / XML / SQL etc.; JSON, REST and data-based APIs

· Strong understanding of the CI/CD principles and experience implementing using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps etc

· Ability to work collaboratively in development, support and project teams

· Experience in WSDL, RAML and/or Open API, SOAP and REST-based web service development

· Experience using HTTP, SFTP, EDIFACT, Scheduled Batch and file-based integrations

· Experience working in ITIL Service Delivery Management framework

· Experience in Team Leading technical resources and the ability to document and share knowledge to cross skill and distribute workload.
