About the role
Step into a key leadership role within our QLD Coal division, where you will lead and co-ordinate the overarching day to day operations, focusing on implementing business improvements, cultural change, safe working improvements and ensuring productive workplace practices.
You will be accountable for ensuring key standards in relation to Safety, Customer Service, Performance and People/teamwork are maintained on shift to maximise productivity and enable delivery in full and on time to satisfy operational business requirements!
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring service and performance targets are met
- Lead, delegate and supervise tasks effectively
- Enact contingencies when the maximum utilisation of resources, assets or equipment is not possible
- Address all out-of-course requests for additional services in a timely and flexible manner
- Manage and coordinate operational resources efficiently
- Develop, support, and advance team members
- Enforce safety and operational procedures through rigorous audits to minimize incidents
About you
To be successful in this position you will be a strong people leader with proven experience in employee relations, succession planning, and performance management. You will lead by example, upholding high personal and professional standards through your actions and behaviour.
Skills/Experience:
- QLD ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence (current)
- Industry Knowledge – Strong understanding of the transport sector and/or experience in a complex operational environment
- Communication &Stakeholder Management – Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including management and contractors.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability – Strong analytical skills, initiative, and flexibility in tackling challenges.
- Leadership experience in a similar environment
