Casual Service Delivery Controller – Intermodal

  • North Sydney location, training provided
  • 12 hour rotating shifts, days/nights/weekend/public holidays (even time roster)
  • While in training fulltime commitment required, after which on demand basis!

Pacific National (PN) is the largest private provider of diversified rail freight services in Australia.  We haul a variety of freight including coal, intermodal containers, steel, and a range of bulk commodities and materials that keep the region’s economy, businesses and households running

About the role

As an SDC within our intermodal business unit you will be responsible for an Operational area, and will be tasked with monitoring, managing, and delivering all our services that operate within this. The team is responsible for working together to ensure all Pacific National services run safely on time, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities include however are not limited to:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all stakeholders in your area of operations
  • Entry of detailed and quality data into our transport and labour management systems
  • Directing the movement of our crews across your area to minimise crew travel in cars while ensuring minimal delay to our services
  • Identifying incidents and events

About you

 In addition:

  • Excellent communication skills, effectively communicating across multiple mediums (phone, email, text messages, etc)
  • Intermediate level computer skills
  • Background in transport or labour (rostering) management systems and/or reporting systems advantageous but not essential
