About the Role

Our new Flying & Relieving Terminal Operator crew will be introduced to provide flexible and a mobile workforce to cover varying operations requirements for our Intermodal business. Depending on your location, the position can include operating reach stackers, forks and/or gantry cranes, in addition to shunting, examining, and terminal operations safe work duties. You will be a critical part of the logistics process of our rail operations.

Our Flying/Relief Terminal Operators will have a home location working on a flexible shift work rostering arrangement and may be required to travel to other locations.

The additional benefits of a Flying & Relieving Terminal Operator are:

  • Annual allowance of $7,800 gross, paid in addition to wages allowances and benefits – paid equally in fortnightly instalments.
  • Interstate travel and accommodation provided with expense allowances

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player who is open to travel and has flexibility. This is a role that requires an adaptable individual who will efficiently and safely undertake all duties and tasked that are assigned to them that they may not be familiar with.

As you will be performing regular Terminal Operator duties you will ideally have some or all of the following:

  • Heavy Forklift Licence / Reach Stacker licence
  • CB High Risk Licence
  • DG licence
  • Full Driver's licence
  • General computer proficiency is required
  • Experience in train inspection, ground shunt and track side safety preferred
  • Shunt driver qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience in logistics, transport or the rail industry is preferred
  • A willingness to learn and undertake new competencies when required.
