About the role
We are looking for an experienced commercial leader who is passionate about driving customer-centric solutions and fostering strategic market growth. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional to step into the role of Head of Commercial, Sales & Customer- Intermodal.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our commercial capabilities, enhancing our competitive edge, and delivering exceptional value to our customers in the Intermodal business.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, Structuring & Pricing Solutions: Leverage your deep understanding of customer needs and business requirements to create, price, and structure competitive solutions.
- Negotiating and Closing the Deal - Develop & Lead effective negotiation strategies, ensuring accurate pricing and terms.
- Market Intelligence: Assessing market gaps, identifying new opportunities and policies that may impact the business and its customers.
- Product Management: Driving the development and management of a portfolio of products and services to optimise financial performance.
- Financial Management: Overseeing the financial performance of the Intermodal product portfolio.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Cultivating strong relationships with key customers, delivering tailored solutions that enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Influence: Lead and develop a high-performing commercial and sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within the Intermodal or transportation industry.
- Strong expertise in pricing, contract negotiations, and solution design.
- In-depth knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and financial management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, with a focus on accountability, collaboration, innovation and the ability to drive change
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
