The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, passionate, emerging Network Engineer with 3+ year experience under their belt and ready to take on new challenges to grow in skills and professional development in a team full of experienced and talented specialists. This role will see you support all corporate network infrastructure within Australia and New Zealand as well as public cloud connectivity.

In addition to this your remit will include:

  • Provide day-to-day network operational support in accordance with agreed service levels and standard operating procedure.
  • Provide mentoring or technical training to Service Desk team as required.
  • Ensure site availability / reliability (High Availability, Failover)
  • End to end network and voice components troubleshooting and operation support and as well as delivery of new service request.
  • Work with third party vendors including Managed Service Providers as required.
  • Proactively monitor network performance and capacity as well as recommend technological improvements.
  • Participate in project deliveries, support, governance as well as cyber security implementation.
  • Adhere to best practice, change control, configuration management and maintain high standard of workmanship and thorough documentation. 

The Experience:

You will be technically competent with various IT Infrastructure services and possess the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years in a similar role of network administration, or network security role.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching and wireless technology.
  • Hands-on experience managing firewalls (Palo Alto Network preferred).
  • Relevant certification such as CCNA or CCNP (Cisco ISE preferred).
  • Relevant knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE preferred.
  • Experience managing network infrastructure within public cloud (Azure preferred) will be highly regarded.
  • Experience managing Teams telephony will be preferred.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, ISO model, DNS, SSL Decryption and working knowledge of firewall rules, NAT and IPS.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, following established procedure and efficiently.
