About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support and oversee Field Practice stakeholders and operations at the college ensuring NZTC’s highly reputable profile is continually raised nationally and internationally. This role is pivotal in assisting with the activities of the Administrators in the practicum team, coordinating associate teacher payment processes and managing access to ECELU for Associate Teachers & Lecturers. This role will also be critical to ensuring all information on InPlace is current & accurate.

Key responsibilities include:

Field Practice coordination

  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with communities and relevant organisations; Communicate with students, associate teachers, centres and lecturers prior to and / or during every placement
  • Ensure all placement activities comply with Academic Regulation guidelines
  • Resolve InPlace access issues for students, lecturers and Associate Teachers; Provide InPlace training for newcomers

Administration

  • Administer the planning and booking of home centre and out-of-home centre placements for students on practicum; recording of centre and practicum attendance
  • Coordinating the activities of the Administrators in the practicum team, and Associate Teacher payment process
  • Managing access to ECELU for Associate Teachers and lecturers Keeping all information on InPlace current and accurate ; Manage and update ECELU website
  • Maintain up-to-date records of new and existing Centre and AT list on InPlace

About You

  • Proven experience in an administrative role in the Education sector
  • Depth of knowledge of Academic Regulation guidelines
  • Familiarity with QMS, curriculum and programme information and resources required
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Proven ability to build long lasting trusted relationships across disperse teams through clear, consistent timely and pragmatic communication
  • High level of attention to detail in administrative record-keeping and data entry
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to changing needs of the organisation
  • High level of learning agility
  • Proven experience managing and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Meet KPIs for email and phone management
