Talent & HR Officer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Talent & HR Officer to join our People & Safety team! In this role, you will deliver comprehensive HR and recruitment services, support a range of HR initiatives, and contribute to enhancing the employee experience. You will play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, and ensuring data integrity across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from role scoping to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to provide recruitment support and training.
  • Facilitate the employee lifecycle by conducting onboarding and exit interviews and coordinating the distribution of welcome packs for new hires.
  • Support the compliance, privacy and data security for all people data.
  • Support HR systems and processes to ensure efficiency and integrity.
  • Prepare and manage employment documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NZ employment law and internal processes.
  • Coordinate reward and recognition programs, including quarterly awards and milestone celebrations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for HR queries for employees and managers, resolving queries and providing guidance.
  • Assist in managing the company vehicle fleet.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on data integrity.
  • Confident navigating HRIS, recruitment platforms, and other business systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Organized and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Could suit a graduate + 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience in administration or HR-related roles is advantageous.
  • Systems-savvy and adaptable to new tools and technologies.
