About the Role

Join our growing Engagement Team and work closely with Secondary Schools and Community to build partnerships which support the growth of Campus and ensure all classes are filled (key focus on Youth Guarantee) This role gives us a unique opportunity to work within the community to break down barriers preventing ākonga transition to tertiary education, build brand awareness, diversify revenue (STAR, Gateway & Trades academy) and empower ākonga to change their lives through vocational education. This role will be based Auckland to primarily provide support to our Auckland Campuses, with opportunities to support other regions as needed. 

Some of your key performance areas will be to :

  • Manage effective school engagement strategies across the NZMA group within your regions 
  • Implement the YG Recruitment Strategy within your regions to drive enrolment volume 
  • Deliver budgeted diversified revenue from the sale of STAR/GATEWAY & Trades Academy products across your regions 
  • Work in partnership with National Engagement Manager - NZMA to co-ordinate group participation at all national (and agreed regional) careers expo events 
  • Ensure all TEC rules, Code of Practice, NZQA and company policies are strictly always adhered to 
  • Support priority areas as determined by the Executive Team from time to time.   

About you:  

You are a natural people leader with experience of developing high performing teams. Your exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships will be the key to your success! Ideally, you will also have  

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not required 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the tertiary Education sector, preferably within Vocational Education 
  • A sound understanding of STAR, Gateway, and Trades Academy programmes 
  • The ability to work independently and think creatively 
  • A solution focused approach with a growth mindset  
  • Strong execution intelligence (You don’t just come up with ideas, you also get things done!).
