About the Role
As the Hospitality Tutor at our Sylvia Park Campus, you will be responsible for delivering our Hospitality programmes (Levels 3-6).
In this rewarding position, you will become a coach and mentor for students who want to become skilled food & beverage professionals. As You will collaborate and work with industry partners to offer your students external opportunities to experience the vast landscape of the hospitality industry. From how to make top-notch barista coffee and preparing classic cocktails to planning events and marketing hospitality businesses – take this opportunity to pass on your extensive knowledge and experience to help the next generation succeed. Accompany students to local venues such as vineyards, tourism location, local cafes to observe and discuss learnings, and transform our on-site café to a restaurant for real, practical, hands-on experience.
You will have the opportunity to grow students’ knowledge of industry trends, master technical skills and develop important soft skills by combining the provision of quality tutoring and being an inspiring mentor all to build student capability, and support students in achieving both their study and career goals.
About You

For this role we are looking for a skilled and experienced Hospitality professional with a passion for the industry and educating future leaders. You will also have the following:
- Recent proven background in Hospitality industry
- Hold a relevant qualification at level 5 or above
- You have ideally been exposed to most front of house roles within the sector and have held a management position for at least 3 years.
- You will need to be a strong communicator, able to motivate and inspire young adults, try out new things, and most importantly bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- You need to be able to connect and build relationships with all your students so the ability to respect and appreciate differences is certainly a must.
