Security Clearance Required for this role:

- This will be an Office based role in Canberra, Melbourne & Sydney locations.
The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of agile and DevSecOps initiatives within the organization.
This role requires a deep understanding of agile methodologies, DevSecOps principles, and the ability to work within a highly secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Program Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of agile programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and user requirements.
- DevSecOps Implementation: Develop and implement DevSecOps strategies that enhance software development, security, and operations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all DevSecOps solutions comply with NV2 security clearance requirements and organizational security policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Specialism:
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of specific technical specialisms and provides expert advice regarding their application.
- Contributes to the development of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for DevSecOps and agile methodologies.
- Agile Development:
- Applies agile principles and practices to deliver iterative and incremental solutions.
- Facilitates agile ceremonies and ensures continuous improvement in agile practices.
- DevSecOps:
- Implements DevSecOps practices to integrate development, security, and operations.
- Ensures that DevSecOps solutions are aligned with organizational standards.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Manages relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Security Administration:
- Ensures compliance with security policies and procedures for DevSecOps solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in agile program delivery and DevSecOps.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in agile methodologies and DevSecOps are highly desirable.
- Clearance: Must hold NV2 clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with agile methodologies and DevSecOps tools.
- Certification in agile methodologies or DevSecOps.
- Strong understanding of data security principles.
- Defence experience, or knowledge of Defence processes (highly desirable).
