As a Calypso/Murex Software Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to designing, developing, and enhancing trading platforms while ensuring seamless integration with broader financial systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions across:
- Custom Development: Build and enhance scheduled tasks, engines, reports, and APIs.
- Integration: Work on interfaces, data flows, and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and enhance Calypso or Murex functionalities for trading and risk solutions.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with BAs, QAs, and stakeholders to implement solutions aligned with business needs.
- Liaise with engineering teams for patch analysis, testing, and deployment.
- Provide expertise in system upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.
Your Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with either Calypso or Murex platforms.
- Strong understanding of Calypso architecture or Murex MX.3 frameworks.
- Expertise in Java, SQL, and XML development.
- Knowledge of Calypso APIs, message/sender frameworks, or Murex MxML scripting.
- Proven track record in trading workflows, back-office processes, or risk modules.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Cloud migrations and CI/CD tools (Maven, Jenkins, Gradle).
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Domain expertise in Fixed Income, FX, or Interest Rate Derivatives.
- Understanding of settlements, accounting workflows, and regulatory frameworks.
