We are seeking a Technical Specialist – Traded Risk Technology to drive the development and standardization of engineering capabilities within a leading financial institution’s traded risk sector.

You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge risk management solutions that enhance efficiency, automation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Engineering Capabilities: Establish and refine engineering frameworks for traded risk, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop high-quality scripts using Bash/Shell and Python (nice to have) with strong SQL skills on Oracle Databases.
  • Batch Process & Integration: Oversee batch process execution, ensuring seamless integration with risk management systems. Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M or Autosys is required.
  • Automation & Reusability: Drive automation initiatives, promoting reusable components to enhance efficiency and maintainability.
  • Visionary Leadership: Guide teams in adopting modern technologies and DevOps practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role within the financial or capital markets sector.
  • Strong hands-on scripting experience in Unix environments (Bash/Shell), with Python as a plus.
  • Deep expertise in SQL on Oracle Databases.
  • Solid domain knowledge of Credit Risk and familiarity with Market Risk in a capital market context.
  • Experience with risk management platforms such as Murex, Calypso, or FIS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based risk solutions.
  • Proven track record in batch process automation and engineering standardization.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with business users and project teams.
  • Experience as a Java Developer is a plus.
