Title: Data Engineer - Manager

Location: Remote, US

Duration: 6 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Design, implement, and maintain database management systems, data warehouses, and data infrastructure
  • Develop database standards, policies, guidelines, and quality assurance procedures
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models and database schemas
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into databases and data warehouses
  • Build efficient and reusable ETL processes for data integration and preparation for analysis
  • Create database reports, dashboards, and visualizations to make data usable for business analysts and leadership
  • Implement data security and access controls
  • Monitor database performance and optimize as needed
  • Document database design, processes, and procedures

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a data engineer or database developer
  • Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and data warehousing
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, Spark, etc.
  • Understanding of data modeling, database design, and data structures
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
