Title: Data Engineer - Expert

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 2 Year Contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for establishing database systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for critical database deliverables. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining database management systems
  • Coding complex programs and deriving logical processes on technical platforms
  • Building windows, screens, and reports
  • Participating in quality assurance and developing test code
  • Adapting business requirements to develop database specifications, tables, fields, and attributes
  • Determining optimal data storage organization and relationships between tables/fields

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years experience in data engineering
  • 3+ years working with Python for data processing (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience with data warehouse technologies like Databricks and Snowflake
  • Expertise in ETL, data modeling, governance, optimization, and migration
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience with RDBMS/NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Airflow, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
  • Experience with data governance tools like Collibra or Hackolade
  • Knowledge of data migration tools and strategies
  • Expertise in testing and validation techniques
