Title: Business Systems Analyst - Location Data Product

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 7 Month contract

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Nike’s Global Places and Services (GPS) function is focused on making location a strategic advantage for Nike, leveraging the Nike Data Foundation platform architecture to implement a Location Data Product for the enterprise. This enterprise product will:

  • Create a source of truth for location across Nike.
  • Centralize consumption objects for reporting, analytical and operational needs.
  • Enable audits of location data to maintain data quality.
  • Build a flexible and scalable solution to enable future location data needs.
  • Central resources to support enterprise location needs (reducing duplicative efforts and improving Nike total cost of ownership).

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

Contractor will provide a dedicated, full-time (40 hours/week) senior business system analyst who will provide data and source system analysis and documentation for GPS related to establishing new SOLE Databricks ecosystem, including establishing new data pipelines from source systems to the Nike Data Foundation/Workplace Intelligence ecosystem. Specifically, the Contractor will:

  • Drive use case and requirement analysis for the ingestion and integration of core data domains to be leveraged by Business Intelligence / Advanced Analytics /Operational teams to gain insights on Nike’s successes and opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Propel analytics through robust data comprehension, solution requirements, source system to target mappings, data flow modeling, and cross-functional partnership for solution delivery.
  • Marry data architecture design to direct business process evolution.
  • Prioritize and manage backlog.
  • Perform reverse engineering to understand and evolve an existing solution.
  • Research a critical source system/service to automate ingestion, educating teammates on Contractor’s robust knowledge of business data requirements and business processes.

  • Data Dictionary (business and technical).
  • Documentation around process and data flow mapping.
  • Input to guidelines, data governance structure, and standards.
  • Data Quality & Audit process and standards.
  • Analysis of data validation and cleansing in systems.
  • API and Consumption Layer Requirements.
