Title: Data Engineer= Lead

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 6 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing database solutions to store and organize data
  • Developing database documentation including conceptual design, logical database structure, capacity planning, external data interface specifications, data loading plans, data maintenance plans and security policies
  • Evaluating and installing optimal database management systems and tools
  • Coding complex programs and deriving logical processes on technical platforms to transform data
  • Building interfaces, windows, screens and reports to provide insights into data
  • Working closely with business analysts and systems engineers to understand data requirements and develop appropriate database schemas and attributes
  • Ensuring high quality data standards, integrity, security and access

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing and optimizing data infrastructure and database systems
  • Expertise working with database languages such as SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing solutions
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C# etc.
  • Understanding of data analysis, BI tools and visualization
  • Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills
