Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 8-month contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Establish and maintain database management systems, standards, and quality assurance for database deliverables.
  • Design and document database structures, including conceptual and logical databases, capacity planning, and security policies.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and storage.
  • Evaluate, install, and manage database management systems.
  • Code complex programs and develop logical processes on technical platforms.
  • Assist in designing user interfaces and business application prototypes.
  • Participate in quality assurance, testing, and troubleshooting of database applications.
  • Develop and implement CI/CD and DevOps processes to deploy and support software in production.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Building data pipelines, data modeling, and data analysis.
  • Working with technologies such as Databricks, Python, AirFlow, AWS, EMR, and SQL.
  • Implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS services like EC2, ECS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
  • Optimizing data storage, organization, and security.
  • Managing and maintaining large-scale data engineering solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based applications.
  • Expertise in Databricks and data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps for deploying and supporting production software.
  • Ability to design relational data models and optimize database structures.
